Mobile Prefabricated Cabin Production Process

This is the complete factory production workflow for the modular prefabricated retail pods (vending kiosks) shown in your photos, from design to delivery, with each step mapped to practical operations:


Prefab cabin production stage 1

1. Pre-Production Design & Preparation Stage


This is the foundational step that determines the final product quality, serving as the basis for all subsequent processes.

1. Client Requirement Alignment & Solution Design- Define dimensions, appearance, door/window layouts, and water/electrical points based on usage scenarios (scenic spots, commercial districts, markets) and functional needs (retail, food service, customer service).

- Complete structural load calculations, waterproof design, and circuit routing planning, then output construction drawings and 3D models.

2. Drawing Review & Technical Briefing- The technical, production, and quality control teams jointly verify the drawings, confirming key details such as welding joints, panel assembly, and pre-embedded water/electrical components to avoid rework later.

- Clarify critical process standards (e.g., weld grade, panel flatness, waterproof rating).

3. Material Procurement & Pre-Treatment- Purchase national standard steel, galvanized sheets, insulated sandwich panels, fluorocarbon paint, water/electrical pipes, and other materials.

- Perform rust removal and straightening on steel, and cut panels to size in preparation for subsequent processing.

Structural fabrication stage

2. Main Structural Fabrication Stage (Core Process)


This step determines the strength, stability, and basic precision of the pod, and is the pre-requisite to the calibration work shown in your photos.

1. Steel Frame Cutting & Forming- Use CNC cutters to cut steel for columns, beams, and keels according to drawing dimensions, ensuring a size error ≤1mm.

- Weld or bolt the components into the main frame (including base, columns, and top beams) to form the pod’s skeleton.

2. Frame Welding & Grinding- Use full penetration welding for frame joints to ensure structural stability, with no cold joints or missed welds.

- Grind weld seams to remove slag and burrs, ensuring a smooth frame surface.

3. Basic Precision Calibration- Use laser levels and theodolites to calibrate the frame’s levelness, verticality, and diagonal alignment, ensuring overall squareness (this step directly corresponds to the laser calibration work in your photos).

- Install universal wheels or fixed feet on the base to ensure stability during movement and placement.

Enclosure and exterior construction

3. Enclosure & Exterior Construction Stage

This step completes the pod’s "outer shell," determining its appearance, insulation, and waterproof performance.

1. Wall & Roof Panel Installation- Secure insulated sandwich panels or galvanized exterior panels to the frame with rivets or bolts, and apply waterproof sealant at all joints.

- Install the roof with a drainage slope and drip lines, with eaves extending beyond the pod walls to prevent rainwater backflow.

2. Door/Window & Opening Fabrication- Cut openings for doors, windows, service counters, and equipment access panels in the walls per the drawings.

- Install broken-bridge aluminum doors/windows or stainless steel service counters, fitted with sealing strips to ensure airtight performance.

3. Surface Coating & Exterior Finishing- Perform rust removal, putty application, and sanding on the pod’s exterior, then apply anti-rust primer, intermediate coat, and fluorocarbon topcoat (the orange pod in your photos is the finished product of this step).

- Spray logos, patterns, or install decorative elements per the client’s requirements to complete the exterior design.

4. Internal System Integration Stage (Ongoing Work in Your Photos)

This step completes the pod’s functional configuration, enabling "plug-and-play" use.

1. Water & Electrical Line Pre-Embedding- Route strong/weak current circuits and water supply/drainage pipes per the drawings, pre-drilling cable holes in the frame and wall panels.

- Install distribution boxes, switches, sockets, lighting fixtures, faucets, and other facilities, with proper insulation and waterproofing for all lines.

2. Internal Fixture Installation- Install floor materials (anti-slip tiles/vinyl), ceiling panels, and interior wall cladding.

- Pre-install shelves, cash registers, worktops, air conditioner brackets, and other custom furniture to complete the functional layout per client requirements.

3. Equipment Commissioning & Functional Testing- Power on to test circuits, lighting, and sockets, and check for smooth water flow and leaks in the plumbing system.

- Commission air conditioning and ventilation equipment to ensure the internal environment meets usage requirements.

5. Final Inspection & Factory Delivery Stage


This is the final quality check before shipment to ensure the product meets delivery standards.

1. Comprehensive Quality Control- Structural inspection: Verify frame strength, secure panel connections, and smooth door/window operation.

- Performance testing: Test waterproofing, insulation, and airtightness, and confirm the safety and reliability of the water/electrical systems.

- Visual inspection: Verify dimensions, color, and logos, checking for scratches or paint defects on the surface.

2. Cleaning & Packaging- Remove construction debris and dust from the pod’s interior and exterior, and wipe all surfaces clean.

- Apply protective packaging to the pod, adding corner guards to prevent damage during transportation.

3. Factory Delivery & Transportation- Issue the product certificate, inspection report, and provide installation and user manuals.

- Transport the pod via flatbed truck, then hoist or wheel it directly to the designated location on-site. Connect utilities and it is ready for use.
